Hello, I am Robert and I am a Registered Psychologist in Alberta. I grew up in a small town and was raised with small town values. I always had a passion for counselling and helping others in my life, but took a detour after high school and started working in the oil field. After a few years I determined the oil patch was not a passion of mine and I decided to pursue my dream of being a Psychologist. I enrolled in college and university, starting in Red Deer and finishing my undergraduate degree in Calgary.

After University I began working with the homeless and addiction clients in Red Deer, working in both shelters, the detox, and the housing program. While working full time I started my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program and after four and half years I left my position and began my internship at Vantage Community Services. There I worked mostly with one-on-one and couples therapy sessions, with clients ranging from 12-years-old to working with seniors. After completing my internship I stayed on as a volunteer until I started working as an Addiction Counsellor with AHS. I remained in this position for ten months, after which time I transitioned to being a Mental Health Therapist.

This journey I have been on has allowed me to work with a number of different people from all walks of life and gain a number of different skills, techniques, and strategies which enable me to assist a diverse group of clientele.
